Savory Bacon-Broccoli Pie

Bacon-Broccoli Pie is an incredibly savory and hearty meal, perfect for entertaining guests or simply as a special dinner for a night in. This dish will definitely tantalize your taste buds with its delectable mix of bacon and broccoli.

Bacon-Broccoli Pie is an easy-to-make dish that will provide you with a flavor-filled meal in no time. Perfect as a cozy weekend dinner for two or as an impressive entrée for larger gatherings, this bacon and broccoli pie will surely be an unforgettable dish. It can be baked in a pre-made pie crust or homemade, for an extra level of sophistication.

To start, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a 9-inch unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate. Heat a medium skillet over medium heat, and when it’s hot, add the chopped bacon and cook until the fat is rendered and the bacon is crisp. Remove the bacon from the skillet with a slotted spoon and let it drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Wipe out the skillet and place it back over medium heat. Add the butter to the skillet and heat until melted. Add the onions and garlic and cook until softened and slightly browned, about 5 minutes. Add the broccoli to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, then add the cooked bacon back to the skillet and season the mixture with salt and pepper.

In a medium bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together. Slowly pour in the heavy cream or half-and-half while whisking to incorporate. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the bacon and broccoli and stir it together until fully mixed. Pour the mixture into the pie plate, spreading it evenly. Place aluminum foil over the top of the pie and place it into the preheated oven to bake for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top begins to set and the center is no longer jiggly.

Let the Bacon-Broccoli Pie rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving. Reserve any leftovers in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When ready to reheat, cover the leftovers with aluminum foil and bake in a 375 degree Fahrenheit oven until warm throughout.

This tasty Bacon-Broccoli Pie makes for a delicious meal that will really tantalize your taste buds. The combination of bacon and broccoli works wonders together when baked inside a simple yet delicious homemade or store-bought pie crust. For some added indulgence, serve the pie with a light green salad and a touch of balsamic vinaigrette. Enjoy!
