Meatball Focaccia Bake

This classic Italian dish combines savory meatballs, focaccia bread, and melted cheese for a truly unique and delectable flavor. The flavors marry together perfectly, and the topping of fresh parsley, parmesan cheese, and herbs completes the meal. Not to mention, it’s a great way to use any leftovers you might have and a great way to stretch the grocery budget. So let’s get cooking!


• 1 lb. ground beef
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/2 onion, diced
• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 store-bought focaccia bread
• 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
• 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
• 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
• Additional chopped parsley, for garnish


1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.

2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, garlic, onion, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper. Form into 1-inch meatballs.

3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until nicely browned, about 5 minutes.

4. Transfer the meatballs to an oven-safe baking dish. Pour the marinara sauce over the top and spread evenly.

5. Cut the focaccia bread into cubes and arrange in an even layer on top of the meatballs. Sprinkle with the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.

6. Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Serve with fresh parsley sprinkled on top. Enjoy!
