Garlicky Dolce Tomato Skewers

Garlicky Dolce Tomato Skewers are the perfect summer appetizer. For these Garlicky Dolce Tomato Skewers you will need:
• 1 (14.5-ounce) can of whole peeled San Marzano tomatoes
• 5 cloves of garlic, chopped
• 1 tablespoon of olive oil
• 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
• 1 tablespoon of sugar
• 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
• Bamboo skewers
• Salt and pepper to taste

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Place the tomatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
3. In a small bowl, combine the garlic, olive oil, balsamic, sugar and red pepper flakes. Mix together until combined.
4. Pour the mixture over the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Roast the tomatoes in the oven for 20 minutes, until the tomatoes are tender and the garlic is fragrant.
6. Once the tomatoes are done, allow to cool slightly before assembling the skewers.
7. Take 4 to 5 tomatoes per skewer and thread onto a bamboo skewer.
8. Serve warm as an appetizer for four to six people, or make more to feed a larger crowd.
