Garlic-Herb Pork Loin
Garlic-Herb Pork Loin – A Delicious and Stress-Free Family Meal
Many of us are trying to live healthier lives and find happiness in simple pleasures. We’re also often busy with other things and can’t always spend time preparing a meal. The good news is that there are still many delicious dishes that are both healthy and simple to make, such as a garlic-herb pork loin.
This lovely dish makes an ideal family meal, especially for weeknight dinners. It’s a savory roast that features pork loin, which is both lean and very tender. It’s an excellent source of protein and is considered pretty budget-friendly. To prepare it, you’ll need a few simple ingredients that you most likely already have in your pantry.
The easiest way to start is to prepare the garlic-herb rub. Start with one tablespoon of garlic powder, one tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, one tablespoon of poultry rub, and one tablespoon of Italian seasoning. In a separate bowl, mix together 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon paprika. Once the rubs are made, it’s time to start putting it all together.
Begin by preheating your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an oven-safe roasting pan or baking dish and place the pork loin in, fat side up. Rub both sides of the pork loin with the garlic-herb mixture, making sure to cover it completely. Place it in the oven and roast for 80 minutes.
While the pork is roasting, it’s the perfect time to prepare the side dishes. It’s easy to make some potatoes by simply cutting them into small cubes and roasting them. Simply combine some olive oil, garlic and herbs, salt, and pepper and mix together before adding the potatoes. Place them on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, until they are golden and crispy. If you’d like to add some vegetables to the meal, try also making some roasted broccoli. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and toss together some broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic and herbs, salt, and pepper. Place the broccoli on a baking sheet and let it roast for around 15-20 minutes.
When the pork is done roasting, remove it from the oven and let it rest on a cutting board for 10 minutes. Carve it into thin slices and serve with the roasted broccoli and potatoes. It’s a meal that’s both tasty and satisfying.
