Balsamic Mushroom Tartlets

Mushroom and balsamic combine together to make one of the best flavor profiles in the world. While the flavor can be found in many dishes, there is something special about the combination when put into a tartlet. The tartlets are the perfect size for party appetizers, and are a great way to wow guests with a delicious recipe.

If you’ve never made a mushroom and balsamic tartlet before, you’re in for a delightful surprise. The combination of mushroom and balsamic is an underrated flavor profile, and everyone will be asking you for the recipe. To make the tartlets, all you need are some mushrooms, balsamic vinegar, and tartlet crust. It doesn’t get any simpler than that!

To make the mushroom and balsamic tartlets, you’ll need some simple ingredients:

-20 tartlet shells

-1 pound of mushrooms, sliced (or more if needed)
-1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
-1/4 cup of olive oil
-Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Begin by sautéing the mushrooms in the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook the mushrooms for about 5 minutes, or until they are browned on all sides.

Add the balsamic vinegar and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove the mushrooms from the heat and set aside.

To assemble the tartlets, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place one tartlet shell on the paper and spoon in some of the cooked mushrooms. Before adding any more, press the mushrooms down into the shell. This will form a sort of “mushroom floor” in each of the tartlets.

Once all the tartlets have been filled with mushrooms, place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. The mushrooms will shrink and become a bit darker in color as they cook.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven when the tartlets are done and allow them to cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a plate or platter.

Serve the mushroom and balsamic tartlets at your next gathering, or make them for an elegant appetizer. Not only are they visually stunning, they also make an extraordinary flavor combination. The combination of the mushrooms and balsamic is simply irresistible. Enjoy!
